Hey creative writing buddies. I figured the blog needed a new post, so I thought I'd take a moment to say, "I LOVE State." It's awesome here. The food rocks (which is unheard of for a college), and my classes are pretty interesting. I actually like my econ class, which scares me because only crazy econ people are supposed to like econ, and I don't want to turn into one of those people.
Okay, your turn to share. Where are you and what do you think about it??? Clearly, I'm at State, and I'm not sure if I'll ever go home I love it so much.
Good morning fellow early bird!
ReplyDeleteSo, what "State" is that? And I have to agree about you being crazy liking econ...blah! ;-) I'm glad someone likes it!
I'm in NC and totally love it as well. Close to both the ocean and the mountains...two of my favorite places to be! Although I'm ready for fall...
I'm at Ferris right now and it's really nice. The campus is gorgeous and the food is amazing. We have a mongolian barbecue basically in our Cafe =]. So far my classes are alright. I'm taking my first real art class and it will definitely be a challenge but it'll be worth it if I can get into the Bachelors program.
ReplyDeleteTo answer Kristi's question, I'm at Michigan State University. I'm ready for permanent fall. Here, it keeps going back and forth between freezing, rain fall weather and sweat-through-all-your-shirts-even-the-ones-you-didn't-wear-today summer weather.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on having fun at Ferris Kelly. Good luck with that art class.
Elizabeth: Go Green! Glad you are loving it! I love the weather description -- totally remember feeling that way. The affinity for the Econ class is surprising me, but that's what college is for: try something new! Who knew?
ReplyDeleteKelly: Go Ferris!!! I am glad you're liking it -- I can picture you there, walking around, as my bro and sis both went there! I am curious about the comment: "real art class"... as opposed to... hs? Let us know how it's going!
Kristi: how did you come across our blog?
WK: The campus is beautiful, I'm certainly enjoying it =] And as for the 'real art class' comment I never took art in high school so I'm basically being thrown into an art class. It's already proving to be a challenge. But I'm trying to get through it at this point. Its become very stressful already.
ReplyDeleteOh and I'm currently taking English and last class we had to go over what a Thesis Statement was. We had to take notes and everything..it made me feel pretty smart since its been thoroughly imprinted on my brain haha.
even though eli already knows where i am and how it's going, i still feel the need to update everyone else. central is going really well!! marching band is amazing, i've met so many awesome people there!! this saturday we're going all the way to northwestern university for a football game. northwestern is by chicago. it's gonna be a 6 hour bus ride that will most likely start at 3 am. and i'm sick. so that's not cool, but it'll still be really fun!! my classes are pretty good, all except FYE. it's a pointless class that just piles on useless homework. thankfully it's only half a semester long, and it gets out in three weeks. but overall i'm really loving it here!! nicole and i haven't killed each other yet, so i guess that's a good sign!! :P anyway, i need to eat something cuz i'm starving. glad to hear everyone's having a good time!! :)
ReplyDeleteEven though this is a little late. I am at Oakland university, it is in Rochester Michigan. It is going pretty good, currently having some roommate issues but I won't get into that. It is really weird to not have anyone you know here. I am about 3 hours from everyone I know, except "my family" who has pretty much adopted me and they are a half hour away. So it is nice to have them to go to on the weekends if need be.
ReplyDeleteI do think that college is a good experience, but man do I miss high school. Who would have thought?
